Ms. Wallington - Kindergarten (K2)

Welcome to Kindergarten!!

We will be learning a lot this week! In math we will be learning the properties of solid (3D) shapes. We will learn about what makes flat and solid shapes different, and how we can sort all kinds of shapes. In language arts, we will be practicing the letter Oo, learning new sight words and writing sight word sentences. We will also be learning how to blend letter sounds together to read CVC words, and focusing on ending sounds. In religion, we are being introduced to the Church and the pope!

When I come home this week, ask me about...
-Hexagons, triangles, rectangles, squares, circles (sides, corners, points)
-Cubes, cylinders, spheres and cones
-Sight word cheers
-Blending letter sounds
-CVC words

Hello!

My name is Ms. Wallington and I am the Kindergarten Teacher for room K2. In 2016, I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. This is my first year at St. Thomas Aquinas, and I am excited to be a part of such a wonderful community! I am looking forward to a fun-filled year with each and every one of you, and I can not wait to see how much you learn and grow during our time together!
